Your Role

As a Support Worker, your role at Australian Quality Care is to deliver flexible, person-centred support to individuals across our Supported Independent Living (SIL) Homes and disability services. You will assist with daily living tasks, personal care, medication, and community access, while promoting independence and life skills. You’ll work both independently and within a team, follow individualised support and behaviour plans, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to an inclusive, respectful environment where clients are empowered to achieve their personal goals.

What we are looking for:

No two days are ever the same and you will be providing a range of supports including:

  • Assisting with Personal Care & Daily Activities

  • Assisting with medications

  • Accessing the community to assist in building client independence

  • Supporting clients in learning life skills and delivering individualised support

  • The ability to take clear and concise notes and documentation

  • The ability to adhere to client behaviour support plans and programs

  • The ability to work effectively within a team and independently.

Applicants must be available to work EVENING, OVERNIGHT and WEEKEND shifts, in addition to weekday shifts and the flexibility to work extra shifts where needed.

​

Availability to work 25 - 40 hours per week is highly desirable.

​

Successful candidates must:

  • Hold a current Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or be in the process of obtaining a clearance

  • Have a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent)

  • Hold a current Australian Driver Licence and be willing to transport clients when required

  • Hold a current First Aid & CPR certificate or be willing to obtain 

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills with clients and staff

  • Support Work experience is highly desired.
