Australian Quality Care's weekly fishing trips have recently become a favourite activity for many residents of Avalon Village. They provide a perfect balance of relaxation and skill-building. While the thrill of possibly catching a big one keeps everyone engaged, these outings are just as much about fostering social connections and sharing stories. The day is still a success even when the fish are too small to take home.
Recently, one customer reeled in a fish big enough to keep, and Avalon Village’s food services team whipped up a tasty serving of fish and chips specially for him. Another memorable moment was when a humourous story was shared about a stranger on a boat who caught a massive tuna but couldn’t find anyone willing to take it!
The fishing trips are not just about catching fish but also about sharing tories, laughter, and building lasting friendships. These shared experiences create a strong bond among those participating, making everyone feel connected.
At Australian Quality Care, we value and support our customers through group-based and centre-based activities designed to build capacity, improve communication, and enhance social confidence.
